# Filtering and Search

> Search contacts by email, sort them newest to oldest, and filter by date range and contact type to find exactly who you're looking for.

The Contacts page gives you a few ways to narrow down the list:

* **Search by email** — find a specific contact by typing their email address.
* **Sort** — for example, **New to old**, to see your most recent contacts first.
* **Date range** — for example, **All time**, to limit the list to contacts captured within a specific period.
* **Contact filter** — for example, **All contacts**, to narrow the list down further (such as by marketing consent or campaign).

Combine search with any of the filters to quickly find a specific contact or group of contacts.
