# Pop to Reveal

> Pop to Reveal has visitors pop colorful targets to reveal a hidden prize — fast, playful, and addictive. Learn what it is, why it converts, and which stores get the most out of it.

**Pop to Reveal** is Zestify's pop-the-target game: a visitor taps or clicks colorful targets in a grid, and one of them reveals their prize. It's a faster, more tactile alternative to a prize wheel, built for stores that want their popup to feel like a game rather than a form.

## **What It Is**

The game appears as a widget on your storefront (see [How to Enable the Widget](/getting-started/how-to-enable-the-widget)). A visitor enters their email to unlock the grid, then pops targets until one reveals their prize. That prize becomes a discount code they can redeem at checkout — see [Rewards Overview](/rewards/rewards-overview) for how prizes and odds are set up.

## **Why It Converts**

Pop to Reveal leans on immediacy and touch-friendly interaction rather than a familiar format. Popping targets is quick and satisfying, with a shorter time-to-reveal than a spinning wheel — which suits visitors who want to play and move on fast. The novelty of the mechanic also helps it stand out for stores whose visitors have already seen a prize wheel elsewhere.

## **Best Industries**

Pop to Reveal fits brands where the interaction should feel like part of the fun, particularly:

* **Youth & trend-led fashion** — a playful mechanic matches a playful brand voice
* **Toys, gaming & entertainment** — the tap-to-pop interaction mirrors the products themselves
* **Food & beverage** — quick, impulse-driven browsing pairs well with a fast game
* **Any impulse-buy category** looking for a fresher alternative to the standard prize wheel

## **Best Audience**

* Mobile-first visitors — the tap-to-pop interaction is built for touch
* Younger or trend-conscious shoppers who respond well to novel, game-like interactions
* Returning or engaged visitors you want to delight with something different from a typical popup

## **When to Choose Pop to Reveal**

Reach for Pop to Reveal when:

* Your brand identity is playful, casual, or youth-leaning
* Most of your traffic is mobile
* You want to test a fresher mechanic against [Spin to Win](/games/spin-to-win) to see what your audience responds to

<Note>
  Want the safer, broadly-recognized default instead? See [Spin to Win](/games/spin-to-win) — or run both and compare results in [Analytics](/analytics/analytics-overview).
</Note>

## **Tips for Best Results**

* Keep copy short and punchy in the [Content Tab](/appearance/content-tab) — Pop to Reveal's pace works best with quick, energetic wording
* Use a bold, high-contrast [preset](/appearance/presets-and-colors) so targets are easy to tell apart at a glance
* Pair with a shorter [play frequency cooldown](/campaigns/game-tab) if you want engaged visitors coming back to play again

## **How It's Configured**

Pop to Reveal is set up like any other game in Zestify:

* Pick display rules, pages, and play frequency on the [Game Tab](/campaigns/game-tab)
* Add prizes and set win odds on the [Rewards Tab](/campaigns/rewards-tab)
* Customize wording and design under **Appearance → Pop to Reveal Appearance** — see [Content Tab](/appearance/content-tab) and [Styles Tab](/appearance/styles-tab)
