General

What is Zestify?

Zestify is a Shopify app that lets you run gamified campaigns — games like Spin to Win and Pop to Reveal — on your storefront to capture emails and reward visitors with prizes. See Introduction.

Do I need to write any code to use Zestify?

No. Campaigns, rewards, and the widget’s appearance are all configured from the Zestify dashboard inside Shopify admin — no coding required.

Does Zestify work with any Shopify theme?

Zestify runs through Shopify’s standard App Embed system, so it works with any theme that supports app embeds (all current Shopify themes do). You do need to enable the widget on each theme you use.

Campaigns

How many campaigns can I run at once?

It depends on your plan: Free includes 1 campaign, Starter 3, Growth 10, and Pro and Plus unlimited campaigns. See Plans Overview.

Can two active campaigns show on the same page?

No. A storefront page can only be claimed by one active campaign at a time — pages already used by another active campaign show as locked in the Game tab.

Can I change a campaign’s game after creating it?

Yes. Change Choose the game on the campaign’s General tab at any time.

Can the same visitor play more than once?

Only if you turn off One-time play only on the Game tab. With it off, you set a Show again after cooldown (every 1 day, 2 days, 10 days, or month) before the same email can play again for a new reward.

What happens if a visitor plays again with the same email while One-time play only is on?

If their existing coupon is still valid and unused, Zestify shows them that same coupon again. If it’s expired or already redeemed, they see a warning instead of a new prize.

Rewards

Do I have to create a reward for every campaign?

No. Rewards live in one central reward library — create each reward once, then select it from any campaign’s Rewards tab.

What does the Probability % on a prize mean?

It’s a weighting, not a fixed rank — a prize set to 50% is won roughly half the time, with the rest split across your other prizes. All prizes on a campaign must add up to 100%. See How Probability Weighting Works.

Do reward codes expire?

Yes. Each reward can set its own Code expires (days); if it doesn’t, Zestify falls back to your Default code expiry in Settings.

The Widget

What’s the difference between “enabling the widget” and creating a campaign?

Enabling the widget (the app embed) is a one-time, per-theme setup step that lets Zestify’s code run on your storefront at all. Creating and activating a campaign is what actually puts a game live. You need both — see Getting Your First Campaign Live.

Can I match the widget to my store’s branding?

Yes. Set up a Brand Kit with your fonts and colors, which becomes your default Appearance preset — or apply and edit any of the built-in presets per game.

Do captured emails become Shopify customers automatically?

Yes. Every contact Zestify captures syncs to your Shopify customers automatically — see Export and Shopify Sync. Yes. Turn on Require marketing consent checkbox before accepting an email in General Settings.

Can I export my contacts?

Yes, as a CSV file, using the Export button on the Contacts page.

Plans & Billing

Is there a free trial for paid plans?

Yes. Starter, Growth, Pro, and Plus all include a 7-day free trial. See Plans Overview.

What happens when I run out of included game plays?

On the Free plan, your game pauses until your usage resets or you upgrade. On paid plans, extra plays are billed per unit instead of pausing — see Usage-Based Billing.

How is Zestify billed?

All billing is processed through Shopify — charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice, not a separate payment processor.

How far back can I see analytics?

It depends on your plan: 7 days on Free, 30 days on Starter, 3 months on Growth, 1 year on Pro, and 3 years on Plus. See Analytics by Plan.
